Trelleborg Sealing  Solutions

Process Engineering Intern

  • Providing technical support to machine operators and engineers with manufacturing airframe seals and diaphragms.

  • Troubleshooting and improving processes to reduce cost and scrap rates through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques. Reduced scrap rate of material by 20% by nesting them in stagger pattern for CNC cutter.

  • Restarted IIOT implementation in manufacturing processes to aggregate data and analyze OEE metrics and KPIs.

  • Designed, developed and sourced mold tools, cut and trim fixtures, templates, and procured various manufacturing equipment.

  • Optimized equipment operation (CNC cutter) and generated capital request for a forklift stacker to improve throughput.

September, 2018 - May, 2020

NJIT Makerspace

Student Assistant

  • Assisted students and faculty members present at the Makerspace with using 3D-printers, CNCs, lathes, waterjet cutters, drill presses, and various hand tools.

  • Operated and calibrated machinery, equipment, tools and coordinated workflow at the Makerspace

  • Ensured adherence to safety policies, led tours, conducted training modules, and organized events

  • Developed management systems and procedures – produced SOP guidelines, purchase orders, designed and assembled safety enclosures, turnstiles, RFID access systems, etc.

January, 2024 - June, 2024

ZOLL Medical Corporation

Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

  • Created ECOs and ECRs, updated work instructions and pFMEAs, designed production fixtures and assembly tools.

  • Used cGMP processes and performed root cause investigations to improve efficiency of Class III medical device (AED) assembly lines.

  • Developed RFID asset tracking implementation plan in multiple project phases through assembly lines, FG intake and shipping area.

  • Generated validation plans and validation reports for an ultrasonic welder and multiple assembly fixtures along with IQ, OQ, PQ, produced engineering memos, and updated process flowcharts.

  • Contributed to the label standardization process in Robar to reduce errors in label creation.

  • Improved quality control by investigating cosmetic damages on non-conforming units and produced heat-map to resolve root-causes.

January, 2021 - April, 2022

Teton Electronics Inc.

Engineer I, Systems

  • Developed the mechanical design of IoT products and operated FEA simulations to ensure structural integrity
